The 130 remembered
On a Friday evening in the heart of Paris, 130 people who had flocked to some of the city’s most famous bars and venues were murdered in brutal attacks. A week later, most of the victims have been identified as young, bright, professional people, of many faiths and none.
Their deaths have left families in mourning across France and as far afield as Britain, Egypt, Romania and Mexico. Some of those who died were newlyweds; some left behind young children or pregnant wives. Others were cut down alongside their partners, parents or siblings. Many had just started new jobs or graduated from university, while one man had overcome cancer.
